Jorge Abalo is a self taught artist resident in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. He has been making art for as long as he can remember.

Jorge began working in digital art in the 1990s, and did comic illustration, design (Adobe CS), 3D modeling (3ds max, Terragen, Bryce, Poser), and flame fractals (Apophysis) before being introduced to Mandelbulb 3D in 2011. His exploring never stopped. Since then the intriguing 3D fractal world, having produced thousands of fractal scenes, posted mainly in Deviant Art and other sites.

In his 3D fractal art, Jorge works with a number of formulas, creating some amazing architectural spaces and wild organic forms. In many of his pieces, he explores Mandelbulb 3D’s fascinating ‘Amazing Surf’ formula, capturing images of incredibly natural looking objects—strange plant life and unfamiliar organisms. In addition, his work shows a great sense of color and composition as well as masterful control of the 3D rendering environment.

For the better part of a year, Jorge and Patty ( The Queen of Asuf ), aka Undead-Academy, tweaked each others art. I would be willing to bet my socks that it holds the record for the longest pong game ever. When you go to Jorge's Deviant Art gallery you will find two folder of the most spectacular images created through this pong game, many that include parameters. Don't forget to give credit if you tweak something!

Jorge also creates beautiful images with Mandelbulber

Note: All of the tutorials listed above are also in The Mandelbulb Master Resource Guide.

As a long Mandelbulb 3D user for nearly 10 years I must confess that I know only few parts of the program. Mandelbulb is so huge that there's always something you don't know, even after all these years! The Master Training Resource Guide is a complete reference Bible for all related to Mandelbulb 3D software. From explanations of how it works to tons of resources, tutorials and references; it is the most complete compilation about MB3D you will ever find on the Internet! Beginners and experts will find themselves comfortably here due to the great amount of resources shared here. Definitely a must. Highly recommended.
