A Jazzy Fractal Artist

Today I have the great honor to introduce you to Mandy Hardy. I have watched her skills develop and grow over several years as a valued member of the Mandelbulb Maniacs Facebook group.

Mandy was born in 1961 into a family of creatives. Her mother was a jazz singer with interests not only in music but also literature and her father was a Jazz musician and graphic designer.

Mandy Hardy's Art Filled Journey

Mandy grew up with a great interest in both music and art from a very young age, singing in bands and training as a graphic designer at art college.

After her studies Mandy worked professionally in graphic design for a few years before taking leave to have a family. During this time she still explored her creativity, teaching her two children different art forms and passing down her passion onto them.

It wasn't until 2012 that she first started exploring Mandelbulb, after her son introduced her to the program.

However it wasn't until a year later when her mother sadly passed away that she really got into it, using it as a distraction and coping mechanism during her grief.

Seven years on, what started as pain, evolved into an unexpected love of the art form. It is an art form in which she can explore her own worlds and express her thoughts and emotions with her pieces.

Not only did she find a connection with Mandelbulb itself, but because of the Mandelbulb Maniacs group Mandy has been introduced to an amazing community she gets to be a part of and inspired by. She has become friends with people all over the world.

She is truly thrilled to not only be a part of such a large community but to have been given the opportunity to join the admin team. In the group she can encourage and incite the same joy Mandelbulb has given her to the greater community.
